SIBOS, the greatest financial services conference worldwide, invites 9.000 business leaders, decision makers and topic experts every year. The future of the financial world is being shaped.
So it is this year. The multi-day conference took place this year from September, 23rd to 26th.
For the first time in London, the meeting venue ExCeL London offered participants to network and meet new partners and customers in 100,000 m2 of space, including two conference rooms and 60 meeting rooms.
The topics of this year's conference under the motto "Thriving in a hyper-connected world" recognised the challenges but also the possibilities of digital technologies. The speakers focused on the ability of financial service providers to identify, develop and strengthen the right connections to succeed in a hyper-connected world.
However, SIBOS did not only deal with digitisation, it also dealt with other sub-themes:
- Enhancing digital ecosystems
- Leveraging data
- Keeping ahead of cybersecurity threats
- Adapting to geopolitical and regulatory priorities
- Exploring the human element
OeKB CSD is represented at SIBOS and uses this opportunity to exchange ideas with other financial service providers.

Like every year, SIBOS 2019 was and is the hub of the industry. Exciting topics such as the importance of APIs for Securities Services, Technology and Compliance, T2S as well as Blockchain were lively discussed.
