Participant Meeting

OeKB CSD organizes regularly topic based events for its clients to inform about current developments.

So, on May 29th, 2018 OeKB CSD invited its clients to the Participant Meeting. It took place at OeKB CSD’s premises at Strauchgasse. All securities and cash account holders were invited – the topics matched this client group:

The focus was, next to the business facts & figures on the safekeeping and settlement volume of OeKB CSD, on OeKB CSD’s status of the authorisation as CSD under CSD Regulation – which was reported by Peter Felsinger, Managing Director.

Georg Zinner, Managing Director, also informed about the User Committee of OeKB CSD. The duty of the User Committee is to advice the management of OeKB CSD on relevant topics. 
The User Committee was constituted last year and the meetings will be convened from the Chairman when required. The meeting protocols are published in the client-related section My OeKB CSD.

The developments of the Eurosystem were another topic in the Participant Meeting; concerning this Georg Zinner introduced the current and already scheduled new projects.

Gerhard Frank, Head of Asset Servicing, explained that there will be a service enhancement in the area Asset Servicing. In future, securities account holders will be able to instruct corporate actions also via the Asset Servicing Client. The Asset Servicing Client is an online client of OeKB CSD that informs at the moment about payment of incomes and where securities account holders can create Breakdown Instructions. More information about this enhancement will be provided soon to securities account holders.

Another project OeKB CSD is working on currently is the project Digital Transfer of Global Certificates (DTG) that Harald Seisenbacher, Relationship Management Issuers, introduced. Issuers profit the most from DTG as it enables them to transfer Global Certificates to OeKB CSD by using a secure and standardized electronic channel. The benefits are clear: Time-saving, state-of-the-art digital interface, comfortable bulk deposits just to name a few.

As completion, Peter Felsinger introduced the new web presence of OeKB CSD. The web presence is not only modern and has a clearer structure it also provides more information. Preserving what has proved its worth: The download center where clients can find easily the documents they are searching for and the service center in case clients need to contact OeKB CSD quickly do not only remain but are also enhanced. Other new functionalities such as switch of the language, the advanced search and the client-related section My OeKB CSD were presented.
